He had a genuine interest in my well being, as well as the well being of my daughter. He carries himself with confidence and his years of experience were evident. At no point in time did I ever feel like I was a bother to him, rather just the opposite. He would give me the impression that he would drop what he was doing to tend to my matters, and that was important to me. If you are looking for someone to shoot straight with you, then John is your guy. Be prepared to put in to it what you expect to get out, as this was part of the truth that came about from John. If you aren't prepared to put some work in to this yourself, then you can not expect to have John (or any other lawyer for that matter) perform as well as he can. Overall, John made me feel like I mattered to him and that my fight was his fight!

He was able to modify the extremely restrictive judgement in my original divorce when I retired so that I no longer have any commitments to my ex. She was combative and interested in taking me to the cleaners, but he was able to get her to settle without going to court. Although he did not respond to every email I sent, in retrospect, it was unnecessary and saved me significant money in fees. I strongly recommend him without any reservation.

    Jul 15 2018 I retained Attorney Zeckel for my divorce case and received what I felt was good representation of my interests (by extension my children’s too). Attorney Zeckel was professional in his interactions with me; listened to any concerns or questions I had, was prompt in addressing these; and helped me achieve a good outcome for my case. He was very straightforward and honest with his advice on what to expect throughout the course of my divorce and when I needed to decide on a course of action what would be in my best interest. I can’t say how much I appreciated having expected outcomes closely match with the actual outcomes. He also consistently recommended the most cost effective solution to the issues that arose during my divorce instead of recommending more expensive solutions that would have primarily benefited him.
