About

My name is Susan E. Durre and I am a Miami probate lawyer who has been in practice since 1971. I help clients prepare wills, trusts, and plans to avoid guardianship. When a loved one dies who lived in Miami-Dade County, Florida, I prepare documents for probate of the estate to transfer assets in accordance with the will, or Florida law on heirs if there is no will.

I have lectured at legal seminars on the topic of probate for the bar and civic groups. I am AV rated by Martindale Hubbell, which is the highest possible rating an attorney can receive for their ethical conduct and legal ability.

It is my goal to listen to your concerns, and hopes for you and your family. I try to explain your options in layman terms to help you obtain your objectives.

My bother and father died in teste and Susan lead me through the maze of the probate process made more difficult when there is no will. And my mother's estate although she had a will, was complicated due to the various investment accounts scattered around and the general looseness of the document. During the entire ordeal which comes with engaging the legal system, I was fortunate to have someone like Susan to guide my way. I won't go as far as saying it was a great experience due to the nature of the work, i.e., loosing a loved one; nevertheless, Susan made it as painless as possible, she is knowledgeable, competent, responsive to my needs and concerns, and above all else, compassionate.
